Angeline the Baker

Recorded at a “Live at the Reeder’s” jam. Mark and longtime friend, Josh Reeder host the annual event. Some of the strongest players in acoustic music join in. In this recording there’s Mark on fiddle, Dillon Hodges on guitar, Tim May on mandolin, Joe Smart on guitar, Brad Leiter on bass, and Tom Soffell on banjo. It’s a favorite fiddle tune that everyone in the group enjoys playing.

Viology

The only instrumental featured on Scarlet Kings debut album. Scarlet Kings was a band Mark toured with from 2006-2008. Always a crowd favorite when played live, Mark’s fiddle tune evokes the “woody-ness” from his instrument as well as lively energy from the band.

Sally

Written by Mark Evitts, Patrick Martin, and Deanna Harper. So many fiddle tunes are about women named Sally. The trio decided to write another explaining the relationship of Sally and her widower as they danced on her grave. Shawn Byrne’s vocals were perfect for the song to give it the grit and power it needed.

It’s America

Mark was featured in the 2009 music video from Rodney Atkins, “It’s America”. Mark played acoustic guitar for this video. The song went to #1 on Billboard’s Country charts and stayed there for two consecutive weeks.
